Although Jake seems like a nice enough kid, he has the problem of being selfish (due to his upbringing) and a bit of a prince. When he doesn't get what he wants or if things don't go his way, he has a tendency to throw tantrums and scream very loudly.

Born as the only boy out of the hatchlings. This meant that his mother treated him like an absolute prince and gave him everything he wanted, spoiling him rotten. He grew incredibly accustomed to this lifestyle, though friends of his mother kept telling her that was not the way to raise a child. Eventually, they convinced her it was best to send him to Almamonster, the boarding school, in order for him to learn proper manners and how to be a gentleman, instead of a whiny little brat. Jake cried when his mother told him, he cried a lot. He still cries because he misses his mum, but now he's in Almamonster learning how to be a good little boy so his mum can take him back.

• Has a bad habit of nicking food from other people.

• He has a very loud, very high pitched scream/cry, which may cause pain depending on how good a person's hearing is. It is not threatening, just annoying mostly.

• He knows how to fly relatively well, but is terrible with control and steering and often crashes into things accidentally.

• He tends to slouch a bit when he walks normally, and finds it hard to walk in a straight line.

• He chirps a lot when he's happy. He even chirps when his mouth is closed. He also tilts his head to the side when he's confused like a little puppy.
